The machining possibilities on single-spindle automatic lathes with a fixed head range from a minimum diameter of 4 mm to a maximum of 60 mm, on multi-spindle machines from 10 mm to a maximum of 27 mm, and on movable tailstock lathes from a diameter of 4 mm to a maximum of 36 mm, with the possibility of achieving good surface roughness directly on the machine without the need for grinding operations.
